Best stock to invest in by SIP

    I am going to invest a sum of 1000 in stock of a good company. Kindly share those stocks which are best for long term investment by SIP.

    I would suggest Tata Motors. The stock is available at a cheap price as Price to Book Value is less than 1. The stock price is at a new low. This is the right time to start an SIP in this stock. Being a Tata group company and a prominent player in the Auto segment, the long term prospects are quite good. Keeping a horizon of 2-3 years, one can earn good returns. Incidentally, I have started an SIP in this stock from this month for a period of 24 months.

    Dear Paresh,
    If you have to do SIP, better is to go for a multicap fund for a period of 10 years. This will allow your investment to grow over a period of time along with the safety of diversification that the fund would offer. You might also look at NIFTY ETF for that matter if your horizon is for a longer time.
    Avoid investing in a single stock as it allows carries a potential risk .

    I will suggest to invest SIP in Mutual Fund rather than stock.

    Exactly. And still if you prefer a stock SIP, go with a ever growing sales stocks from the coffee can portfolio.
