    Hi Shabbir,
Thanks for accepting me to the community. It's much appreciated. I worked for an oil company in Middle East. I took retirement and headed home. Invested retirement benefit in MF & Real Estate and leaving off the returns of these.

    Hi Folks,
The Branch Sales Manager where I bank is recommending me to invest Rs. 25,00000 (Rs. twenty five lakes) per annum in Ulips for ten years for a corpus of Cr Rs. 2.54. Your take on this please. Thanks

    LOL them.

I will tell you a simple maths. In simple terms, they are giving you returns of under 4%. Keep the amount in your bank and you will get lot more than that. So let me 25L per annum means 208334 Rs per month of investment. For calculation sake if we do the monthly SIP only because I am not sure if they are asking you to make monthly payment or yearly.

At 2% return, you make Rs 2.8Cr and your total investment for ten years is 2.5Crore. I think you have messed up with some number.
